Today's gift wrap is obviously simple but for a good reason. I know the holidays are extra busy for everyone and 'crafting time' is limited. I originally had another concept for a wrapping round-up but I simplified it for this very reason. All you mommies out there, this post is especially for you. The kids will love it. My niece (6) and nephew(4) sure did. Everything is kid friendly, functional and taps into the adult metallic trend. Plus, its quality holiday crafting time. Bonus!
Supplies:
- twine | purchased at the Dollar Store
- gold washi tape
- kraft star | such as this
- floral leaves | purchased at the Dollar Store
- gold marker
- 3/4 inch circle labels | such as these
- Martha Stewart Gold Paint | Michaels
- gold ribbon | local craft store
- gold thread
- roll of kraft mailing paper | purchased at the Dollar Store
For the polka dot paper, my niece painted circle label stickers with MARTHA STEWART METALLIC CRAFT PAINT. As for the striped paper, I used a gold marker and ruler to draw diagonal lines in no particular fashion. But again, do what you may and let the kids have fun with it.
Next, we used a bouquet of holly leaves (set me back a me a whole dollar) to paint metallic gold. Once dried, I secured the package with gold thread. And lastly, I applied gold washi tape to a small piece of paper while my niece painted the kraft star metallic gold.
Mix it up a bit and have fun with it! I hope you find yourself an afternoon to relax and make a holiday memory this year. Thanks for stopping by!
